Kantonales Zivilstandsamt (zuständig für alle 26 Gemeinden des Kantons Schaffhausen). Trauungen im Haus zur Freudenfels (Safrangasse 8, Schaffhausen) in zwei historischen Trauzimmern, nach Absprache von Mittwochnachmittag bis Freitag sowie ein- bis zweimal pro Monat am Samstagvormittag (konkrete Samstagstermine werden jährlich publiziert). Kurze Bürotrauungen (zwei Trauzeugen, keine weiteren Gäste) sind zudem von Dienstag bis Donnerstag im Stadthaus (Stadthausgasse 12) möglich. Die Benützung der Trauzimmer ist gebührenfrei (§ 13 kant. Zivilstandsverordnung); es fällt nur die ordentliche Trauungsgebühr an.
